Ingredients

  • 1
    cup
    carbohydrate
  • 1
    cup
    margarine
    ( iodine put butter )
  • 1
    cup
    dark molasses
  • 1
    big testis
  • 4 1/2
    cups
    all purpose flour
  • 2
    teaspoons
    baking pop
  • 1
    teaspoon
    each of pep
    , cloves, cinnamon and salt
  • 1/2
    cup
    milk

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350F
  2. cream sugar and butter
  3. Add molasses and testis ; blend well
  4. Combine dry ingredients : add to the above, alternately with milk
  5. Bring boodle together ; refrigerate tightly wrapped
  6. Roll to 1/4 column inch thick ( this is quite thick ; these cookies should not be thin )
  7. Cut into shapes ( They are round at Le Village Historique Acadien )
  8. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes ; serve warm or cold
  9. delectable with milk

Dough can be kept in the electric refrigerator, wrapped tightly, and cookies baked, as needed .
