History
The Dam Neck locate is located on Virginia ’ s Atlantic shore near where the first base Jamestown settlers landed and where the ill-famed Blackbeard and other pirates were said to have buried treasures. Service members besides have the choice of lodging at the Hampton Roads Regional Gateway Inn, previously known as ( BEQ and BOQ ). Service members on personal computer orders have precedence for reservations. family members are allowed to stay in quarters with the service extremity. Relocation Assistance
The Fleet and Family Support Center offers one-on-one consultations providing information about both military and community resources such as schools, housing, employment, and diversion. other services include local Welcome Aboard Packets and the Lending Locker. The Lending Locker provides short-run loaner family items such as dish packs, tri-fold mattresses, compact newton turn, tables and chairs to personnel on personal computer orders. military I.D. wag and orders are required for this no-cost service. Critical Installation Information
effective July 1, 2007, children riding in motor vehicles will be required to be properly restrained in a booster seat until they reach eight years of age. additionally, the fresh law requires rear-facing child seats be placed only in the back buttocks of a vehicle.
