The purpose of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Hall of Fame is to honor early athletes, teams, Academy staff, alumni and individuals that have made a significant contribution to Academy athletics. Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the oldest endlessly operating maritime academy in the state, has maintained a reputation of excellence for over 125 years .
Student-athletes shall be eligible for circumstance and trigger into the Hall of Fame beginning nobelium less than five ( 5 ) years after graduation from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy .
Intercollegiate varsity athletic teams that competed at the Academy are eligible for nomination and excerpt vitamin a well to the Athletic Hall of Fame.

Eligibility for former student-athletes for election to the Hall of Fame is based primarily on the acrobatic ability of the campaigner as demonstrated by his / her performance. Consideration shall besides be based on personal integrity, beneficial character, academic accomplishment and high standards of sportsmanship.

College personnel soon or once employed at the Academy, a good as individuals who have made a significant contribution to Academy athletics shall be eligible.

A maximum of one ( 1 ) modern member from college personnel, presently or once employed by MMA, or from individuals who have made a significant contribution to MMA Athletics.

A maximum of four ( 4 ) newfangled members comprised of all student-athletes that have been nominated from classes beginning nobelium less than five ( 5 ) years after graduation from the Academy .
Individuals who are selected for initiation have a three-year window to attend the annual induction ceremony, beginning with the date of the following schedule induction ceremony following choice. This window is in place to accommodate any changes in schedule or other situations that prohibit an inductee from attending at their schedule clock time.  
Nominations for the Massachusetts Maritime Athletic Hall of Fame may be submitted on-line by using the liaison at the top of this page.
