Many already know about enabling Developer Mode on Android itself but few are aware that the web browser Chrome has its own secret Developer Options menu as well.

Chrome for Android is quite powerful and includes hundreds of tools to help developers figure out what’s going on under the hood of it all.
Many of you may be aware of the Developer Tools that Chrome has for inspecting things the many elements that make up a website. But that’s just the tip of it here. One of Chrome’s more detailed troubleshooting features is tucked away behind the Developer Options menu.
And this menu isn’t visible to everyone who installs Chrome either. We first need to go into the settings area and then look in the “About” section so we can see which version of Chrome we’re currently running.
It’s here that we can tap the version number 7-10 times.
Seems familiar, right? This is similar to what we go through when enabling Developer Mode on Android as well. But when we do this inside Chrome we reveal the secret Developer Options menu that sits at the bottom of the Settings area.
There aren’t many features hidden here, though. But the “Tracing” feature that is included is quite powerful. I’ll include a link to Google’s documentation about the feature down below.
But it can be invaluable when trying to find out the culprit of a bug you’re experiencing in Chrome.
