Google wants you to think that you need the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro in order to use its new Magic Erase feature. The thing is, Google has had this feature working within free apps like Snapseed for years.

And thankfully there’s a way to get it working within Google Photos too.
To start, we need to downgrade the version of the Google Photos application that you have installed. Then, it’s best to go ahead and disable automatic updates as well.
Now, download the specific version of the Google Photos application (linked below) and install it using the APKMirror installer.
If you downgraded the app correctly then it should install and update just fine. This works on the Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3A, Pixel 4, Pixel 4a, Pixel 5 and the Google Pixel 5a.
The main requirement here is that you have Android 12 installed.
Once you’ve updated the app correctly, go ahead and open it up and check the Edit – Tools section for the new Magic Eraser feature.
